THOUGHT OF THE DAY:  A long obedience. ​Though I don’t agree with everything Nietzsche said, this quote is ponderable and powerful “​The essential thing in ‘heaven and earth’ is that there should be ​a long obedience in the same direction​; there results, and has always resulted in the long run, something which has made life worth living.” What does it mean to have a “long obedience?” I think it means to continually have your compass pointed in the same direction and to take small and meaningful steps to get there. We don’t do everything at once, but we chip away, slowly and surely, toward our goals. 
 

Today is the first day of our Double Up Challenge! See ​www.elmhurstchurch.org/double-up​ and  share with others! Let’s see if we can match the entire $5,000 pledged from EPC!    

OFFICE HOURS​: ​This week, I will be in the office during the following hours and times. Please feel  free to stop by. (or set up an appointment to chat)  If you’d like to chat, we’ll be at least 6 feet  apart. We can also chat outside, where there’s fresh air! Please bring a mask to wear in case we  can’t maintain the 6 feet of distance. Of course, I’m still available for zoom and phone calls as  well. I encourage everyone to maintain as much safety and social distance as possible.
