Here's my "3-2-1" for this week... 

3 EPC Happenings
1. I am currently away on vacation and study leave/continuing education for the next 3 Sundays. For pastoral emergencies, please reach out to me via cell phone at 630-643-6045. I am SO grateful to those who will be filling our pulpit! Be sure you come and hear them preach the word. The guest preachers are as follows: 

July 23 – Elder Jim Davidovich
July 30 – Rev. Scott Matheney, Communion Sunday
August 6 – Elder Doug Fitzgerald

2. This Sunday our guest preacher is Elder Jim Davidovich. Jim's message this Sunday is called The Kingdom of Heaven is like a Matthew 25 Church. Please be sure you come out and support him and hear his inspiring message. 

3. Blessing of the Backpacks is just around the corner! Be sure you save the date for Sunday, August 13. All children and youth are invited to bring their backpacks to be blessed as we kick off the school year.

Occasionally, our church members are victims of fraud from scammers who use Pastor Traci's name and an email address or phone number similar to hers. Please protect yourself and never respond to an email/text message/phone call that asks you to send money or goods directly to me (through a personal meeting/venmo/etc). 

We at EPC have heard that this has been happening again recently and want to make you aware. Please be sure you contact the church office directly with any questions or concerns OR if you receive any suspicious emails so we can alert others.

Tickets are now available for the EPC Project C.U.R.E. Fundraising Gala on Friday, September 22, 2023! Please click HERE! This will be an opportunity for fellowship within and outside of our EPC faith community as we aim to send $15,000 to fund the shipment of medical equipment to Malawi, Africa. Join us on Sunday, August 13 during worship for the Blessing of the Backpacks. Children and youth of all ages are invited to bring their backpacks to receive a special blessing as we kick off a new school year! 

Confirmation class is Sundays from 11:45-12:45 after worship. Class will meet in the Teen lounge in the basement and we will be using the Confirm not Conform curriculum. Classes will meet for about 10 weeks. Have questions? Contact Emerson! 

Youth Ministry is looking for volunteers to assist on Sunday mornings with classroom management and general assistance. Tasks would include supporting students and assisting with games and art projects! No planning or curriculum building necessary, Emerson will provide you with everything you need to know.
