3 EPC Happenings
1. I’ve been using the sermons over the past few weeks to help say goodbye and talk about what’s next. Last week I talked about how the spirit is present in all relationships. This week I’ll be reflecting on being forward thinking, particularly with regard to children and youth. Hope to see you there! 

2. We had our first cupcake get together last week. It was a great time for longer term members to chat with newer folks. Hope to see you at one of the remaining meetings!

3. Soup, salad, and bread after church for all! Please come and enjoy!

2. Whether you’re new or been in the church for a long time, you might wonder about the process for finding a new pastor. HERE's a book that tells you more than you ever needed to know! Page 15 has a flow chart that’s helpful. Be sure to come to the annual meeting where we get some of the pieces in place that will allow us to move forward with the search for a new pastor.

Join us in worship this Sunday for Pastor Traci's message on Ecclesiastes 7:7-10 titled Wisdom of the Generations. 

Come for coffee, cupcakes, conversation, or all three at one of these times in January! Pastor Traci will provide the coffee and the cupcakes. You bring yourself and some conversation. All are invited and welcome! We'll meet in the Nelson-White room! No need to sign up, just come! Email or text Pastor Traci with questions.

The New Member Lunch is now an All Member Luncheon! Join us after worship This SUNDAY January 21 for a fellowship lunch with soup, salad, and bread! All are welcome to attend. A big shout out to Jennifer Gordon and her team for making this happen. Please note, this is no longer a new member event. All members of the church are invited to attend. 

Save the Date for EPC's Annual Meeting on Sunday, February 5th after worship. We will have our annual meeting of the congregation and also say goodbye to Pastor Traci and her family and celebrate their ministry among us for the past five years. Please plan to attend!

Save the Date for our Ash Wednesday Service on Wednesday, February 14 at 7:00 PM. Join us for a service of prayer, song, and the imposition of ashes. Hope to see you there as we mark the beginning of the sacred season of Lent. 

EPC is so proud one of our own Ruling Elders, Jim Davidovich, will be installed as Moderator of Chicago Presbytery this year. Please join us on February 27 at 4pm in the sanctuary to be present for the installation and celebrate this new chapter. The event will also be live-streamed. 

Due to a severe allergy, EPC is now a NUT-FREE campus. Please be aware of this as you are bringing food into the church. We appreciate your willingness to be hospitable to those with severe allergies!
