Hi EPC Friends and Members,

Here's my "3-2-1" for this week...

3 EPC Happenings

1. Christmas Pageant -- Our Christmas Pageant this year will be held on December 18th during the worship service. It's an instant Christmas Pageant, which means all are welcome to participate, and we want as many folks as possible to join in. All you need to do is show up!  It's a wonderful part of the Christmas Season here at EPC so be sure you come and worship with us that day!

2. Festive Family Night -- Join us on Wednesday, December 14th at 6PM for a fun and festive family event at 6PM. We'll be decorating cookies for shut-ins and have dinner together. We hope you'll join us!

3. Christmas Eve Service -- The Christmas Eve Service this year will be focused around the ABC's of Christmas! The service will be held at 5:00PM on the 24th and will feature candle lighting and a fun exciting way of sharing the Christmas Story. All are welcome, be sure to invite your friends and family!

1. A very, very charming version of the CHRISTMAS STORY

2. Not an Advent song, but NEW EVERY MORNING is such a good song, and this version is so very lovely.

1 Thought

"One of the essential paradoxes of Advent: that while we wait for God, we are with God all along, that while we need to be reassured of God’s arrival, or the arrival of our homecoming, we are already at home. While we wait, we have to trust, to have faith, but it is God’s grace that gives us that faith. As with all spiritual knowledge, two things are true, and equally true, at once. The mind can’t grasp paradox; it is the knowledge of the soul.”

There you have it! Our 3-2-1 for the week. See you Sunday!

It's not the same without you there,

Welcome to our new staff members, Micaiah Brown and Emerson Azcoitia!

Micaiah Brown (she/her) -- My name is Micaiah Brown (she/her) and I am so excited to be teaching Sunday School. I am currently a student at Elmhurst University majoring in Theatre Arts Education

Emerson Azocoitia (they/them) -- My name is Emerson Azcoitia (they/them) and I am so excited to be serving as EPC Youth Leader. I am currently a student with the school of education at Elmhurst University. On campus some of my involvement includes being the president of our dance company and president/founder of a progressive christian organization. I grew up in the baptist church and have since left the church of my parents to find something that is a better fit for me! I am so excited to work with EPC and I look forward to meeting everyone!

This Sunday is the Third Sunday of Advent, the Sunday of Joy. We hope you'll join us for this meaningful service in preparation of Christmas.
