Hi EPC Friends and Members,

Here's my "3-2-1" for this week...

3 EPC Happenings
1. Instant Christmas Pageant -- Christmas Eve at 5PM! Children of all ages are invited to participate and no rehearsal is required. Just show up and you’ll receive a part and a costume. Join us for this fun filled service celebrating the Nativity story!

2. Countdown to Noon - Join us for this fun and festive event on Sunday, December 31 (New Year's Eve!) after worship. There will be balloons and sparkling grape juice and we will ring in the new year together as a church.

3. Saturday, December 16th from 5-7:30 PM is our Festive Family Fun Night. We will be watching the Muppet Christmas Carol, eating pizza, and having a special scavenger hunt. It will be a fun celebration.

2 Interesting Links
1. I think I link to THIS article about the Magnificat every year, but I read it every year, so it’s worth repeating for you, too.

2. Also about once a year I watch THIS video about the miraculous plane landing on the Hudson River.

1 Thought
"Advent is the season of the secret, the secret of the growth of Christ, of Divine Love growing in silence. It is the season of humility, silence, and growth”

— Caryll Houselander

There you have it! Our 3-2-1 for the week. See you Sunday!

It's not the same without you there,

This Sunday is the Third Sunday of Advent, The Sunday of Joy. Pastor Traci will be preaching on Yearning for Joy. Please join us as we continue to prepare for the coming of the Christ Child!

We are so excited for our Instant Christmas Pageant on Christmas Eve at 5PM. Children of all ages are welcome to participate, all you have to show up! You'll receive a part, a costume, and instructions when you arrive for worship on Christmas Eve. Come be a part of the Christmas story this Christmas Eve!

Festive Family Fun Night – Saturday 12/16 5-7:30 PM – Join us for a night of festive fun for ALL ages!! We'll be showing the Muppet Christmas Carol movie, serving a pizza dinner, and cap the night off with a scavenger hunt leading to a special treat! We'll also have some fun holiday craft centers set up.

This year during the Advent and Christmas season, EPC will be collecting Diapers for New Deliverance. Our goal is to fill the stable that will be set up in the Nelson White room as well. Please bring in any size diapers and fill the stable until the end of the year.

The deadline for poinsettia orders is this Sunday, December 10th. The cost will be $23.50 this year. We will be passing out order envelopes the next several Sundays. Kindly check the boxes for your color preference, total, how you would like your contribution listed and if you prefer to pick up your plant this year or donate it for deacon delivery. You can place your completed forms in the basket on the lectern.

Since New Year's Eve is a Sunday, you are invited to join us after worship on December 31 for a "Countdown to Noon!" as we welcome in 2024 together as a church family. We will have a small celebration to welcome in the New Year. All are welcome!

There were a few misprints in our recent church newsletter. Please note the following changes:

There will be NO Christmas Day worship service.

The New Year's Eve Service will be on Sunday, December 31st at 10:30am.

The EPC Annual Congregational Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, January 28th.

Parents of teens are invited to a supportive time of conversation, community, and reflection as we gather around the joyful and challenging stage of parenting teens! We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at Brewpoint Craft from 10:30 am - 11:30 am.
