Hi EPC Friends and Members,

Here's my "3-2-1" for this week...

3 EPC Happenings
1. I am currently away on vacation and study leave/continuing education. For pastoral emergencies, please reach out to me via cell phone at 630-643-6045. I am SO grateful to those who will be filling our pulpit! Be sure you come and hear them preach the word. Elder Doug Fitzgerald will be preaching tomorrow and his message is titled, Let's See...That's 5,000 Loaves & Fishes...Hold the Tartar Sauce.

2. The gala is just around the corner and we just got word that the the ambassador of Malawi will also be in attendance that evening! Tickets are available HERE

3. It's time to start thinking about the start of a new school year! Mark your calendars for Blessing of the Backpacks on Sunday, August 13 and the All-Church Picnic on September 10th after worship.

2 Interesting Links
1. I found this New Research on How Spirituality is Good for our Brains — YES PLEASE. Give this a listen. The BOOK looks amazing as well.

2. Check out THIS video for concrete examples of how our $15,000 donation goal for our Gala will affect the health and wellbeing of the people of Malawi! Dr. Tania Nkungala, featured in the video, will be attending our gala!
