Hi EPC Friends and Members,

Here's my "3-2-1" for this week...

3 EPC Happenings
1. Can you believe it's already time for back-to-school? This Sunday we will be Blessing the Backpacks. Kids of all ages are invited to bring their backpacks to worship for a special back-to-school blessing and prayer for the new school year.

2. The fundraising gala for Project C.U.R.E. is just over a month away. Have you gotten your tickets yet? Tickets are available HERE and we have folks ready to help this Sunday if you need assistance ordering tickets. Just bring your credit card and they can give you a hand.

3. Our children's vegetable garden has been thriving this year! They have donated over 150 pounds of produce to the Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stepped up to make it a success. Be sure you check out the pictures below!

2 Interesting Links
1. What I did on my Summer vacation: It’s so good to be back with you after a few weeks away. Here are some interesting things from our time away! I spent a few days with senior leadership of the BOARD OF PENSIONS in Philadelphia, to advocate for the benefits of younger women clergy who are primary income earners in their family. I also presented at the ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT’s annual meeting, jointly, with a professor at Elmhurst University. Our presentation was about Elmhurst Presbyterian Church! Finally, the whole family spent a week as chaplain in residence at CAMP WESTMINSTER. Hooray!

2. While I was at the AOM conference, I took a day off to visit a good friend who is the pastor of ELIOT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH in Lowell. Eliot Presbyterian  has a day center for guests without homes as well as a soup kitchen that serves five days a week. Truly an inspirational community. (I also learned about the FASCINATING HISTORY of Lowell and its canals.)

1 Thought

When you create a difference in someone's life, you not only impact their life, you impact everyone influenced by them throughout their entire lifetime. No act is ever too small. One by one, this is how to make an ocean rise.

There you have it! Our 3-2-1 for the week. See you Sunday!

It's not the same without you there,

Check out these amazing images from our children's garden this summer. We have had a super successful garden season and thank all those who have made it a great success. So far we have donated 155 lbs 9.4 oz to the Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry!
