April 21, 2023: E-News Updates

Hi EPC Friends and Members,

Here's my "3-2-1" for this week...

 3 EPC Happenings
1. The season of resurrection is one of the most glorious liturgical seasons in our Christian world. It's a time of renewal, rebirth and resurrection. Very excited to begin a sermon series on the "r's" of resurrection. This first week's message is on repentance. Repentance feels like a weighty concept, and it is, but I've recently learned a lot about what it is and is not from Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg. Come to worship this week and learn more!

2. This Sunday we'll send our friends Fred and Ruth Schroeder on to their new home in Vermont. Stay after worship for cake and celebration.

3. Can't believe we're talking about summer already, but it's almost here! Looking forward to PRIDE and VBS in June and July, respectively.

2 Interesting Links
 1. Body Scan Meditation is a great way to notice stress you may have been carrying around without knowing it. Give it a try HERE.

2. I've been loving the use of VOICE TEXTS these days, to keep in touch with friends. I love thinking about how communication changes over time, too.

1 Thought
“After death something new begins, over which all powers of the world of death have no more might.”

-- Dietrich Bonhoeffer

There you have it! Our 3-2-1 for the week. See you Sunday!

It's not the same without you there,

Join us this Sunday as we kick off our new sermon series: The R's of Resurrection. Easter is more than a day, it’s a whole season! This year we are going to honor that through our new sermon series, The R’s of Resurrection. Join us from now until Pentecost as we explore different themes beginning this week with repentance.

The Garden Team is looking for volunteers to maintain the church garden through the spring and summer. It is a wonderful ministry of our church, and we want to make sure it is thriving! There are plenty of opportunities available and more information can be found on the bulletin board. We need help with caring for various garden beds and borders as well as the children’s vegetable garden. Many hands make light work, so please consider helping us out!
