As Presbyterians, we believe that the sacrament of baptism is a sign and seal of the covenant of grace made by God through Jesus and extended to us. In baptism, God claims us as beloved children & members of Christ’s body, the church, washing us clean from sin as we turn away from evil and seek to do God’s will.
All are welcome to be baptized at Elmhurst Presbyterian Church. When you decide to be baptized or have your child baptized, you will make vows that (a) profess your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, (b) renounce evil and affirm your reliance on God’s grace, (c) declare your intention to participate actively and responsibly in the worship and mission of the church, and (d) declare your intention to provide for the Christian nurture of your child. The congregation will (e) profess its faith, (f) voice its support of the baptized, (g) express its willingness to take responsibility for the nurture of those baptized.
If you are interested in baptism, please speak with a church leader at worship and/or contact our office administrator at elmhurstpresbyterianoffice@gmail.com.
The first step in arranging for a special event at EPC is to contact the church office. The pastor or an event coordinator will follow up with you to discuss your event and share details about policies and costs, if applicable, for music, audio/visual support, janitorial services, etc.

In life and death, we belong to God. Church memorial worship services provide an opportunity for the faith community to proclaim the good news of resurrection, to give thanks for and to celebrate the life of the one who has died, and to gather around and console those who are mourning. If you would like to connect with us to hold a memorial service, please contact the church office.
