Community invited to immigration justice discussion on Wednesday, May 29

Elmhurst Presbyterian Church (EPC) is hosting Justice for All? The State of Immigration in America, a presentation and discussion about immigration justice on Wednesday, May 29 at 7 p.m. at 367 Spring Road in Elmhurst.

EPC’s Pastor Traci Smith will give an overview of current immigration issues in the United States and discuss opportunities for advocacy. Two immigration lawyers from Hughes Socol Piers Resnick Dym, Ltd., a Chicago law firm, will provide insights into the current state of immigration law and the changing landscape in today’s political climate.

The presentation is the culmination of EPC’s study of “Enrique’s Journey” by Sonia Nazario, a book that traces the dangerous journey of boy’s quest to reunite with his mother.

The event is open to the public. Spanish translation available during the presentation.
