Thought of the Day, June 8, 2020

THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Learning and Growing A challenge you can do at home. Friends and colleagues at Myers Park Presbyterian Church have designed a 21 day challenge for reading, listening, watching, and reflecting on anti-racism. It’s a thoughtful way to grow and engage and learn. I encourage you to check it out HERE. It includes a lot of resources, as well as a planning tool to track your progress. If this is something that interests you, please take a look at it. Let me know if you’d like to get together to discuss what you’ve learned (If we get enough interest, we’ll start a little group.) Whether you take this particular challenge or not, I’m curious to hear how the events of recent weeks have made you think, challenged you, or encouraged you. Let’s keep the conversation flowing.

PRAYER REQUESTS: Let’s pray for: Peace and justice in our city, state, nation and world. Racial  justice. Healthcare and essential workers. Art and Suzanne Pitz, as they grieve the loss of  Suzanne’s sister-in-law, Carla. Jan Palmer, who is recovering from surgery. Pat Kreibich and Phil  Slocum who is fighting cancer. Marion Young, who grieves the death of her son, Greg. Do you have  a prayer request you’d like to include in this bulletin? Please email or text Pastor Traci.

OFFICE HOURS: This week, June 8-12, I will be in the office during the following hours and times.  Please feel free to stop by. (or set up an appointment to chat)  If you’d like to chat, we’ll be at  least 6 feet apart. We can also chat outside, where there’s fresh air! Please bring a mask to wear  in case we can’t maintain the 6 feet of distance. Of course, I’m still available for zoom and phone  calls as well. I encourage everyone to maintain as much safety and social distance as possible.

Monday 6/8 : 10am - 3pm     Tuesday 6/9: 10:30am - 12:30 pm  Wednesday 6/10: 10am - 3pm      Thursday 6/11: 10am - 3pm    Friday 6/12: 10am - 1pm

Thank you for your support and love!
