Thought of the Day, July 21, 2020

Posted by Traci Smith on

Thought of the Day: Letting nature speak. I know I’ve said this before, but nature has been such a help during COVID for me. Seeing how a lot of the plant and animal life around us goes on as normal is calming and causes
a sense of balance and normalcy. It’s great to see so many volunteers working in our church gardens and keeping them beautiful and productive. God’s creation is good and beautiful. How are you finding yourself connected to it these days?

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Women of Faith and Valor Friends, our Sermon on July 26th is "Women's Rights are Human Rights." Who is a woman in your life
who has shown you want it means to be brave and to have faith? We want to hear about her! Please use the link HERE to record a short video telling us about this person. Your video can be as short as 30 seconds or as long as 2 minutes. Please do not let your clip go longer than 2 minutes. Please help if you
can! It’ll make our sermon wonderful! Can't wait to see and hear your contributions! Remember, go HERE. If you have any trouble, please let
me know.

PS -- Is there man of faith and valor you're thinking of? Hold that thought! We'll do something similar for a man of faith in late August
Don’t forget to Join us Online for Online Coffee Time at 11:30 on Sunday Mornings as well. HERE’s the link.

For Discussion: Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. Instead of discussing a whole book, we’ll take a look at the article “America’s Enduring Caste System” from the NYT. You can find it HERE. Join us. (Also, if you’ve not had a chance to take a look at the article, you’re still free to join the discussion.

See you soon,
Pastor Traci
