Thought of the Day: Worry, the thief of joy. Yesterday one of my favorite writers and authors, Nadia Bolz Weber, posted on her Twitter account,  “What’s stealing your joy these days?” I answered “uncertainty.”
Uncertainty and worry are, for sure, my joy killers. Not knowing how the virus will progress or what is in store for my children’s school is hard for me. The  antidote to this is living in the present moment and seeing the Holy
Spirit in the right now. Just as I wrote this, Samuel said “look mom! It’s a bird on the ground! I think it’s a Robin!” How common are Robins in the yard? And yet, noticing them makes for something special. If you are being robbed of joy by uncertainty and worry, take a moment to look at what is near to you right now.
