Thought for the day: Learning to walk in the dark. Tonight is our study of the book “Learning to Walk in the Dark.” If you didn’t have a chance to read the whole book, read the excerpt linked below. Here’s one of my favorite quotes from the book: “...new life starts in the dark. Whether it is a seed in the ground, a baby in the womb, or Jesus in the tomb, it starts in the dark.”

PANDEMIC PRAYER BOOK: Lots of beauties HERE.

CHALK THE WALK: There’s some chalk out by our circle drive at EPC. If we get a nice day, stop by and draw on the circle drive with messages of hope and joy for people walking by!

THESE DAYS DEVOTIONAL BOOKS: It took awhile for them to get to us, but the “THESE DAYS” devotionals have arrived and are in a basket by the door at the circle drive. If you’d like one delivered to your house, please contact Pastor Traci.

WEDNESDAY ZOOM BOOK DISCUSSION: On April 29, the topic of our Zoom Meeting will be the book Learning to Walk in the Dark
by Barbara Brown Taylor. If you’ve not read the book, you’ll still be able to participate in the discussion, but if you’d like to read the book, it’s included as one of the Kindle Unlimited books. If you’re not a Kindle Unlimited member, you can try it free for 30 days. Here’s a link to the book. I think you’ll find that it speaks to these times.

BOOK DISCUSSION EXCERPT: If you don’t have time to read the whole book, just take a look at this EXCERPT in preparation for the Wednesday discussion.

Contribute to the Online Prayer Wall: To make a post on the prayer wall, go HERE. Let’s pray for each other and share our requests.

Virtual Coffee Hour: Join us on Zoom on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. for a quick virtual coffee hour. We’ll hop on Zoom and say hello to one another! https://zoom.us/j/515981426 See you there!

LOOKING AHEAD TO A MAY BOOK DISCUSSION: Check out The Art of Living. We’ll discuss it on Wednesday, May 27th. Note that it’s also available on Kindle Unlimited via Amazon.

Love to all, in Christ,

Pastor Traci
