1. Congratulations to the new worshipping community of the Presbytery of Chicago, Dia Nuevo. Dia Nuevo is led by Elias Cabarcas. The Dia Nuevo community was approved unanimously by the Presbytery of Chicago this week, along with terms of call for Elias, a covenant relationship between Dia Nuevo and the Presbytery of Chicago and the use of a building in Hanover Park. Check out the ministry HERE!
2. If you're up for some challenging and dense theology that will transform your thinking (and who isn't, really?) I'd love to send you to my friend Herb Montgomery's series on the Myth of Redemptive Suffering.
1 Thought
"Give something, however small, to the one in need. For it is not small to one who has nothing. Neither is it small to God, if we have given what we could.”
— St. Gregory Nazianzen
There you have it! Our 3-2-1 for the week. See you Sunday!
It's not the same without you there,
Join us this Sunday in worship for the Fifth Sunday of Lent as we continue our Lenten Sermon Series, The Journey. The season of Lent is often described as a journey. A journey with Jesus towards Easter, a journey through as the days get longer, and a journey growing closer to God through our own spiritual disciplines. You are invited to join us on the journey as we hear Pastor Traci's sermon, Guided by the Light.
Holy Week is just around the corner. Be sure you join us for these meaningful services!
